Rome is an extraordinary destination for hosting organised groups. Corporate work groups, associations or other organisations find in the Eternal City all the elements for stays rich in experience.
Organised groups have objectives to satisfy, first and foremost the gratification of the participants, for whom Around Rome can design any type of activity programme.
We gladly recount a recent experience that is just one of the many possibilities we offer our customers. Here, the key to the programme was Art, with a capital ‘A’, and in particular a guided tour of a prestigious period palace in the centre of Rome.
With a gala dinner at the centre of one of the most important art collections internationally. Other times the main organisational criterion has been, and therefore can always be, a visit to an important wine cellar with a tour, guided tasting and dinner in a country atmosphere.
And again, team building operations with activities, including training, sports and recreational activities that promote team spirit and pride in belonging. We organised days between work, mornings of internal group meetings, and fun, excursion and even shopping accompaniment.
All extended to the area of central Italy and, in particular, the Castelli Romani. Where our strong point is our in-depth knowledge of the area, also expressed in our blog, which is useful for any hospitality project for organised groups.
On the eve of the event, with the top manager of the client company we went to the location for the last inspection. He knew that he would be in a special situation, but the surprise was nevertheless great.
A manager is professionally accustomed to managing emotions, but the satisfaction was evident all the same; the aperitif he offered us was the prelude to an announced success. He was anticipating, also as his personal affirmation, the ‘wow’ effect that the whole situation would have on his own employers.
The following afternoon they all arrived together and were greeted by a glass of sparkling wine and small snacks served on a tray passed around by waiters. This served to break the ice, before the two expert guides led them in groups through the rooms and long corridors densely packed with paintings of every size, author and subject. Those paintings that we are usually used to seeing in art books were there just inches from our eyes.
A great emotion. Tables were set up in the centre of the largest room. The menu, with traditional Roman dishes paired with selected labels, had its deserved approval.
Very few words of circumspection from the summit, toasts, souvenir photos. In the end, it was an unforgettable experience for everyone. With sincere congratulations and thanks also in the days that followed.
